This pack contains 3 filter cartridges for use in the filtration system, helping to extend the life of your pump and improve your freeze dryer's performance.

First use:

Remove the cartridge from its packaging, grip the top, and place it into the cartridge holder.
Press firmly until the cartridge seals securely.

Cartridges should be replaced after about 15-20 uses, or sooner depending on the quality of the oil.

Oil Filtration Instructions:

Open the oil reservoir drain valve and let the oil drain into the filter. Lift the rear of the vacuum pump slightly to ensure all oil drains out.
Wait for the oil to pass through the filtration system.
As oil is filtered, any water in the oil will separate, with water sinking to the bottom and oil floating on top.
Pour off the oil and discard the water, ensuring not to pour the water back into the vacuum pump to avoid damage.
Pour the filtered (or new) oil back into your vacuum pump.
