Precision-Tested Vacuum Pump
Each pump is factory-calibrated and guaranteed to reach 25 microns or better, with verified CFM performance.
Why Organic Material Loses Freshness (and How This Dryer Solves It)
1. Water
Freeze drying eliminates water content while the material is still frozen. This quick process—typically completed in about 24 hours—helps lock in flavor, color, and nutrition. Unlike other methods that take longer and risk spoilage, freeze drying dramatically reduces the chances of degradation by removing moisture fast.
2. Heat
Traditional dehydration or extraction methods often rely on heat, which can destroy enzymes and terpenes essential to the product’s effectiveness. Freeze drying avoids heat altogether, preserving these delicate compounds for maximum potency.
3. Oxygen
Residual oxygen can cause food and organic materials to lose quality over time. When combined with oxygen absorbers, freeze drying offers extended preservation without the need for additives, preservatives, or even vacuum sealing. These absorbers reduce oxygen inside packaging to below 0.01%, protecting contents from spoilage, discoloration, mold, and nutrient loss.
Home Pro vs. Pharmaceutical Freeze Dryers: What’s the Difference?
The main difference between Harvest Right’s Home Pro and Pharmaceutical Freeze Dryers lies in their intended use.
-
Home Pro models are specifically designed for food preservation—perfect for families, gardeners, and preppers.
-
Pharmaceutical units are engineered to handle more delicate materials such as oils, compounds, and medications, making them ideal for labs, herbalists, and product developers.
Size & Shelf Configuration
-
Home Pro freeze dryers offer larger capacity, suitable for bulk batches of food.
-
Pharmaceutical models, although more compact in size, feature more shelves, allowing them to process a higher quantity of small or separated samples—perfect for lab work or botanical processing.
Shelf Spacing & Curing Applications
-
If you're curing flower, Home Pro models are typically better suited due to the taller space between shelves, which helps preserve the shape and quality of buds.
-
For hash production, Pharmaceutical freeze dryers are preferred thanks to their lower shelf clearance and colder temperature capabilities. However, they’re not ideal for food unless you remove trays or purchase a food shelf attachment to accommodate larger items.
Temperature Range
-
Pharmaceutical units can cool down to 35°F, which is optimal for freeze-drying sensitive items like bubble hash.
-
In contrast, Home Pro models operate within a 40°F to 125°F range. While perfect for food, these temperatures may be too warm for hash or similar materials, potentially compromising quality.

Liftgate Service, Curbside Delivery & What to Expect
We understand that freight shipping can be confusing — especially if you’ve never had a large item delivered this way. This page will walk you through exactly how it works, including what a liftgate is, what “curbside delivery” really means, and what to be prepared for when your order arrives.
Why Freight Is Used
Freight shipping is required for large or heavy products — usually those over 120 lbs or oversized dimensions. Unlike standard parcel shipping (UPS/FedEx), freight is handled by a trucking company using semi-trucks.
What is Curbside Delivery?
All of our freight shipments are curbside delivery by default, which means:
- A full-size semi-truck (typically 20 to 53 feet long) will arrive at your location.
- The truck will stop at the end of your driveway or nearest accessible point — not necessarily at your garage or door.
- The driver’s responsibility ends at the curb. It’s your responsibility to unload the item from the truck unless other arrangements are made.
Important: Some extremely large or heavy products are not eligible for residential delivery at all, even with liftgate service. In these cases, you will need to collect your order from the nearest freight terminal or depot. We will notify you if this applies to your order before it ships.
What Is a Liftgate?
A liftgate is a hydraulic platform on the back of a truck that can lower freight from the truck bed to the ground. Not all freight trucks are equipped with one, and it's not guaranteed unless you request it in advance.
If your delivery location does not have a forklift or loading dock, we strongly recommend ordering liftgate service.
- Liftgate fees typically range from $25 to $125, depending on the product or carrier.
- If the truck arrives without a liftgate and you’re unable to unload, you may be charged re-delivery and full liftgate fees.
What Drivers Are (and Aren’t) Required to Do
- Drivers are not required to assist with unloading
- Some drivers may help at their discretion, but this is not guaranteed
- If the truck can safely pull into your driveway and turn around, they may accommodate — but it’s entirely up to the driver
- If your road or driveway is inaccessible to large trucks, you’ll need to meet the driver at the nearest accessible location
Important Notes
- Do not accept or use liftgate service unless you’ve ordered and paid for it — even if the driver says it’s okay. Carriers may charge you $100+ for unauthorized use.
- In some areas, liftgate delivery may be required by the freight company for safety or liability reasons
- If you’re unsure whether you need a liftgate, assume yes unless you have a dock or forklift on-site
Delivery Scheduling
- The carrier will contact you by phone to arrange a delivery appointment
- Typically, you’ll receive a 1–2 day notice and a 3–4 hour delivery window
Before You Sign
Inspect your shipment thoroughly before signing the delivery receipt:
- If there is any damage, note it clearly on the paperwork
- Take photos immediately
- Contact us within 24 hours
Summary
- Freight deliveries are made via large trucks to curbside locations
